Work
Some of the work I've done.
Runkeeper
Getting the whole world running.
At Runkeeper I solve for one of life's biggest problems: motivation. I help millions of people close the gap between action and intent while having a positive impact on their lives and health.
I work closely with product and engineering to expand and improve the Runkeeper experience, using qualitative and quantitative research methods to discover and act on valuable customer insights.
Zipcar
Helping build the future of car sharing.
As part of Zipcar’s product team, I collaborated with product managers, designers and engineers to deliver insights on the needs and motivations of our members, and work to help shape the future direction of Zipcar’s products and services.
I contributed to many aspects of the service, including: iOS and Android apps, pre-sales and member websites, member communications and service design for new features.
OHO Interactive
A new, responsive oho.com. We turned this project around quickly thanks to rapid HTML prototyping. Using flat html to prototype we were able to test early and often, fine-tuning the site in the browser before building.

St. John's University
I created wireframes, site maps, user flows and prototypes for the St. John's University website. After finishing the UX and IA phases of the project I developed the site's responsive front end for desktop, tablet and mobile.

The Boston Conservatory
I redesigned and rebuilt bostonconservatory.edu in six months, moving from proprietary service to cloud-hosted Drupal 7 solution. During the discovery and design phases, I collaborated with faculty and staff to create new site information architecture, consolidating the core site with several third-party offerings and choosing a cloud hosting solution (Rackspace) where I could build an environment for agile development. After launch, I trained and supported faculty and staff contributors and then developed additional sites and campaigns, including a CARES database, defineperformance.me, the employee portal and web TV content. I also consulted with all divisions on site content to digitize daily processes, maintained the website by implementing regular security updates and establishing nightly backup process with fast disaster recovery, initiated a committee to review current and potential web content strategies and measured site performance and followed content trends using Google Analytics.

University of North Carolina
At UNC, we collaborated with an external design firm to do the initial mockups and usability studies. Web Services, in conjunction with University Relations, launched the new unc.edu website in the CarolinaContent content management system. The redesigned site represents more than a year of planning and development and drew upon many ITS resources, including Middleware, Enterprise Systems, Networking and Database Administration.
